LUM-310R Rev2. : 31” True 4K HDR Reference Monitor

The LUM-310R is a 4K HDR Reference Master production monitor with a 31-inch wide Super-IPS 4K LCD (4096 × 2160) and a local-dimming backlight array designed to reproduce reference HDR content at a maximum luminance of 2,000 nits with a simultaneous deep black minimum of 0.002 nits. This makes possible a simultaneous contrast ratio nearing 1 million to 1. The LUM-310R supports various HDR standards such as SMPTE ST2084, ST2086 and ST2094[pending], Hybrid-Log Gamma (HLG), and others. It also supports multiple color gamuts including Rec.709, DCI, and Rec.2020. Signal I/O includes 3G/6G/12G-SDI input via one, two, or four SDI connections as well as HDMI (ver.2.0).

Blue Only / Mono

Red and Green channels are not used and only Blue or Monochrome channel is used to display the screen. This function is used to adjust the color tones (tones and saturation) of the screen using the SMPTE Color Bar. For example, after displaying the Blue channel, adjust the Color (or Saturation) and Tint (or Hue) so that the original Magenta and Cyan are of the same brightness, and the original Gray and Blue are of the same brightness.

Marker

Displays various kinds of aspect ratios on the screen. Wide range of markers and security areas are available with line color and curtain transparency selection. A User Marker is available if any of standard markers fits your requirements.

User Aspect

Adjusts the Width /Height display ratio.

Various Scan Modes

Controls the size of the image. Overscan: Extra area around the four edges of the image that may not be seen reliably by the viewer. Underscan: Constrains the size of the image so the monitor shows everything the camera is seeing. 1:1 pixel: Displays the original image resolution without scaling to match a certain resolution or an aspect ratio.

Waveform/Vector Scope

Waveform Y: Displays the Luma(Y’), Cb, Cr component of the input signal into waveform.
Vector Scope: Displays the color components ‘B-Y’ and ‘R-Y’of the input signals onto the X-Y axis.

1. Improved HDR features
2. Improved by Dolby and Netflix test
- When you set 100nit or 200nit as in SDR or HDR, the nit will be shown as it is.
- When the monitor is set [Local Dimming] ?[Off], the set luminance from 100nit to 1,000nit. If you increase peak luminance, ABL will be automatically activated and it will make backlight level down. After 30 min, backlight will be 1,000nit.
- Highlight was not reproduced well but now it is fixed.
- Peak luminance of Local Dimming (Strong) is 2,000nit as in 4% of white box. More than 2,000nit part of a video will be displayed but ABL will be activated. And, it is going to be 1,000nit.
- Peak luminance of Local Dimming (Soft) is 2,000nit as in 49% of white box.
- Preset value as in Standard is changed.
- Video range setting value is changed. Narrow 100% and Narrow 109% are added in Video Range setting. Preset of HD, UHD, and HLG is changed as 109%.
