LUM-310X-CI : 31’’ 4K True HDR Reference Monitor
Upgraded with a new innovative color management and proprietary monitor calibration technology, LUM-310X-CI fulfills the color requirements for EBU Grade-1B HDR monitor specification.
Upgraded with an innovative DRC technology, now the internal video processing time is 2 ~ 4 times faster than before, and almost ZERO Video Latency (0.2-frame delay) for 4K/60p and 4K/50p video signals (12G-SDI only).
State-of-the-art LCD technology
The LUM-310X-CI utilizes a 31” native 4K resolution LCD panel with dual layer technology, which allows for 1,000 nit max luminance and 0.001 nit black level to provide the best available contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. The color gamut range of the display is wide enough to cover 100% of BT.709, 99% of DCI-P3, and 86% of the BT.2020 standard. In addition, a superior wide viewing angle can be enjoyed due to its proprietary S-IPS technology.
The Upgrade for the Best
Beginning with the LUM-310X-CI, all TVLogic LUM-series monitors will be upgraded with a new color engine(LogiColor), calibrated with a new calibration software (logiCALProbeCAL). These new tools will enable TVLogic monitors to reproduce SDR and HDR colors with high accuracy using scientific back data.
The new color processor - 'LogiColor' Engine
An improved color management system is utilized by the LUM-310X-CI for the best color reproduction and control. The Xilinx FPGA based ‘LogiColor’ engine quickly processes and converts 10-bit nonlinear YCC video signals into a 24-bit linear RGB color space (72-bits per pixel). This allows for the most accurate color reproduction, especially in mid-tones as well as details in the highlights and shadows.
The 'LogiColor' engine can navigate preset modes 5 times faster, and is able to provide a more accurate control over parameters such as luminance, color temperatures, EOTFs (gamma) and color gamuts.
* Color Standard Preset (HD, UHD, DCI, PQ, PQ2, HLG + User Mode: 1~6)
* Video Range (Narrow 100%, Narrow 109%, Full)
* Display Luminance (+ Clipping Level)
* SDR & HDR EOTF (Gamma 2.4, 2.6, 2.8 + BT. 2100 PQ & HLG)
* PQ EETF (Roll-on & Roll-off)
* HLG System Gamma (Auto, 1.2 Fixed)
* Color Gamut (BT.709, DCI-P3, BT.2020, Native)
* Color Temperature (D65, DCI, D93)
* Gain / Offset
* Camera Logs (Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Canon, Nikon, ARRI, Red and etc.) * - coming soon!
'LogiColor' uses a universal color space that covers the entire BT.2020 standard. In order to fully utilize the display panel’s color gamut, a 1D and 3D LUT are created during the calibration process to compensate for the non-linearity of the panel installed in the monitor. The colors outside of the monitor’s gamut are smoothly mapped onto the surface of the gamut while preserving the original hue.
Advanced 3D LUT Interpolation
A new interpolation algorithm has been introduced to the LUM-310X-CI. While maintaining the same 17x17x17 grid structure of the 3D LUT, the Triangular pyramid Interpolation (Tetrahedral Interpolation) which is used in the IS-mini, has now been implemented into TVLogic LUM-series monitors. With this algorithm, the accuracy of the color reproduction is equal to or better than 33x33x33 grid 3D LUT with cubic interpolation.
Best-in-Class Gamut Mapping Algorithm
Any (BT.2020) colors outside of the monitor’s gamut (color reproduction range) are smoothly mapped onto its gamut. This allows for the brightness/saturation to be changed while preserving the original hue of the (BT.2020) colors that fall outside of the monitor’s gamut.
(*A ‘Native Mode’ is available to view all the colors proportionally scaled inside the monitor’s gamut.) LEARN MORE
Industry-leading Calibrator - 'logiCAL'
'logiCAL'. is a new calibration freeware that has been developed by TVLogic, available for both PC and Mac.LogiCAL performs SDR and HDR calibration to create and transmit 1D and 3D LUTs to the monitor. Once calibration has been complete, a professional grade PDF report, detailing the calibration and color reproduction analysis, is automatically generated.
Please visit 'logiCAL' page for more information.
Professional Calibration Report
After every calibration, the 'logiCAL' software will automatically generate a PDF report detailing the results of the SDR and HDR calibration. Users can also create an HTML version of the report in the 'logiCAL' menu once calibration has been completed. The report will provide detailed information of the calibration using numbers, various graphs, deltaE (color difference) calculations for gray levels and colors such as GretagMacbeth 24, and EBU test colors for both SDR and HDR.
Please visit 'Calibration Report' page for more information.
Make the most out of your probes - 'ProbeCAL'
Thanks to the Mutli-Color Matching method (80 color samples), the accuracy of the probe’s color measurement has significantly increased. Instead of using the traditional 4-color matrix method provided by probe manufacturers, this new method can enhance the measurement accuracy of mixed colors or mid-tone colors by improving the non-linearity of the probes. And also visit 'ProbeCAL' page for more information.

Zero Video Latency for 4K - 'DRC' technology
An innovative DRC (Dynamic RAM Control) technology was adapted to significantly minimize internal video delay; resulting in video processing speeds that is 2 – 4 times faster than its predecessor. This technology allows for nearly ZERO Video latency (0.2-frame delay) for 4k/60p and 4k/50p video signals input through a single link 12G-SDI. (This upgrade is available with a firmware update. Please contact your local dealer or download the firmware from the TVLogic website)
True HDR
Grade 1 and Grade 2 HDR monitors must have a wide color gamut that covers more than 60% of the BT.2020 and 100% of the BT.709 color gamut. Color reproduction for grayscale and EBU test colors must also be at tight tolerance.
And other monitors with HDR-related function but within limited dynamic range are defined as 'HDR Emulation Monitor' in TVLogic.
We have many other professional monitors which support HDR standard of BT.2020 color gamut and PQ/HLG EOTFs. But, unfortunately, they can not meet all of the requirements above, so we call these monitors as 'HDR Emulation Monitor'. We will share more information on our website to explain on the things to be considered when you use these monitors for HDR contents. Please visit 'LogiColor' supported monitors web site.
※ Note: Some manufacturers are advertising their monitors with HDR EOTF and some other related function to be HDR monitors, but in TVLogic, this sort of monitors are defined as HDR Emulation Monitors, which can be compared with 'True HDR monitors' with high dynamic (luminance) range.
